Fast forward to 2009.... this thing STINKS. Mozy will takes months to back up 200 gigs of data. Then it will just start over at the beginning for no apparent reason. Customer service stinks. Hard to get a reply out of them and when I do it is a canned response that doesn't apply to my problem.

Crash plan is WAY better. Switching to it now even though my mozy subscription is still valid for another year. Big mistake getting the mozy for 2 years.

Hi KC, being in Berlin, Germany, I have no problems with my connection, though my backup size is rather small, only important stuff < 1gb complete. I hope they get it fixed with 1.0, the service looks nice and the client is easy to use. But a backup service which is not 110% reliable is not very useful in my opinion.

I was googling about Mozy on mac to see if I could find anyone else having problems. I actually am having a different problem with 0.7.0.0 than you. My computer is unable to complete a backup because Mozy's server keeps on dropping the connection (granted I am currently in Hong Kong until December, but this is an issue that Mozy claims is an internal one). Have you had any issues with connection at all?
