Wow, it's pretty funny to see one's name in such a context. I am glad you liked the presentation. When we meet, hopefully I will be as funny as I was in the presentation ;-) As for the others on your list:

* Crazy Bob is a lot of fun, and can truly be quite crazy (what happens in Vegas, ...). Unbelievably bright (despite his attempt to fool you into thinking that he's just a crazy idiot), and occasionally very thoughtful and introspective ..

* Cedric is (as you can see from the comment above) a great friend to keep one humble. He may pretend to be caustic at times, but he's actually a softy (American: he's just a teddy bear) and I have long enjoyed his unique (and interesting) personality even though he usually is looking for ways to use his intellect to put me down ..

* Rickard is quite enjoyable to sit and talk with on a range of topics. Quiet confidence, excellent humor and a brain that contains as much knowledge as opinion ..

This industry has a lot of fun characters, most of whom are very accessible (you can just walk up at a conference and say "hi").

Peace,

Cameron.

Hey! he stole the first slide that I use in all of my presentations. I can't wait until I meet him also ;-) The kids book theme is just rocks. This ranks as one of the best presentations that I've seen for both technical information and entertainment value.

@Anjan: matt raible, of course! Forgot him.

I think I couldn't get along with Linux and DHH and Stallman because of their style, and I'm not very interested in Bill - there is still this -perhaps wrong - innovation-copy image in my head.
